Huis op Zuid

The Huis op Zuid project in Rotterdam consists of two connected parts: a high-rise tower and the sports section, Sportcentrum Feijenoord. On the ground floor and first floor, a continuous glass facade has been realized, for which mbX produced the columns between the glass panels. Sportcentrum Feijenoord was equipped by mbX with 550 unique facade elements featuring artwork.

Foil Technique
For the facade elements with artwork, mbX used a foil technique that offered functional advantages: the project stayed within budget, the risk of errors was reduced, and a consistent finish was achieved.
This technique resulted in a more subtle effect, beautifully and consistently highlighting the lines of the design
