Culvert elements serving as tunnels for conveyor belts.Commissioned by Gebr. At the Dilsem-Stokkem site (Belgium), Schouls produces all the culvert elements for the tunnels through which sand and gravel will be transported. Every year, 1.5 million tonnes of gravel and sand will pass through the tunnels, which are 168, 96 and 60 metres long.

They are precast concrete culvert elements with a sliding ring linked together with a socket-spigot connection; the rubber ring in this connection ensures that the joint is soil-tight.
