Westermeerwind

On the commission of Van Oord, Waco designed and manufactured 48 concrete platforms.The 55-tonne platforms are shaped like a teardrop and have a long lifespan on which the wind turbines in the IJsselmeer are placed. Self-compacting grade C55 concrete was used for the platforms, which arrived fully assembled at the final location, the wind farm, and complied with high-tolerance requirements. It is a great project that fully showcases Waco’s exceptional capabilities.
