DSM Hoofdkantoor

In 2021, a completely ‘Paris-proof’ new head office for chemical company DSM was built in Maastricht.
A monumental vocational school and former cinema were merged in which the school largely retained its character but the cinema underwent a major transformation. Microbeton produced all lightweight columns, gable bands and entrance canopy for the cinema, which went from closed to open facade. A transformation where only the basement remained intact and the solution was found in lightweight elements.
